However, if players already have the character, then they can unlock their constellation instead. This is also a hard choice, though, as some units have a really powerful effect that’s too good to miss. For Travelers who are in a dilemma of which character they should choose from the Fleeting Colors In Flight event in Genshin Impact, this article will list each of their strengths, weaknesses, and constellation effects.

Yun Jin

Positives:

Amazing option for characters that rely on their Normal attacks to deal damage. She’s one-half of the Geo Resonance. Easy to build. Players can use 4-Noblesse Oblige if 4-Husk of Opulent Dreams is hard to get.

Negatives:

Yun Jin needs enough Energy Recharge% stats to be able to keep her buff constant. Other than buffing the team’s Normal attacks, Yun Jin doesn’t have any other use.

Xingqiu

Positives:

Xingqiu can inflict an outstanding amount of damage while off-field. His Elemental Skill deals massive damage and can also protect him and his team. Xingqiu has one of the best Hydro applications in Genshin Impact. He can be paired with any DPS and effectively support them. Xingqiu is easy to build.

Negatives:

There’s only one Xingqiu in Genshin Impact.

Xiangling

Positives:

Xiangling is a Pyro unit. Pyro reactions trigger the highest damage in Genshin Impact. She can inflict decent damage while off-field. Her Elemental Burst creates chaos around her.

Negatives:

Xiangling’s Elemental Burst has a high energy requirement. To cast it constantly, players have to build her with enough Energy Recharge%. Doesn’t provide defensive support.

Constellations overviews:

Chongyun

Positives:

Can deal decent damage with his Elemental Burst. His Elemental Skill contains several useful utilities. He can take the role of Sub-DPS effectively. When Chongyun has 4-Noblesse Oblige, he can buff his entire team’s damage. He’s easy to build.

Negatives:

Some characters like Keqing or Razor can be deactivated by Chongyun’s Skill. When choosing his team, players should pick each character carefully. Many characters surpass Chongyun damage-wise.

Beidou

Positives:

Beidou can deal decent damage with her Burst while she’s off-field. Her Elemental Skill can block incoming damage. Beidou’s ability to continuously apply Electro to enemies makes her a reliable choice to pair with Cryo Physical DPS.

Negatives:

Electro units have little use in the current meta. Beidou can easily be outshone by other Electro units like Raiden Shogun or Fischl.

Ningguang

Positives:

Able to deal great damage without specific characters in the team. Can break all kinds of shields in Genshin Impact (albeit slower). She can be a main DPS, Sub-DPS, or even plain support, providing lots of shields and energy particles. As a Geo character, players need one more Geo character in her team to activate the Geo Resonance, this is currently the strongest Resonance in Genshin Impact.

Negatives:

Ningguang’s Charged attack is clunky and time-consuming to work. She’s highly reliant on Geo Resonance, which is easy to activate since she’s one-half of the requirements.

Constellations overviews:

Xinyan

Positives:

Xinyan buffs her team’s Physical attacks. Her Elemental Burst can deal ok damage while she’s providing other utilities for her team. Can be a decent Main DPS.

Negatives:

Besides a small Physical attack buff, Xinyan offers nothing. Her shield is weak and can be broken easily. Doesn’t have a good Pyro application.

Constellations overviews:

Yanfei

Positives:

Yanfei is a Pyro Catalyst user. She can fully take advantage of her vision since she can deal Pyro damage 100% of the time. Has a much smoother attack sequence compared to Ningguang.

Negatives:

Yanfei heavily relies on her Charged attacks, yet she consumes stamina when casting them, putting her at a disadvantage. Badly needs a Battery to maintain her Elemental Burst uptime.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
