So the Premier League has released the fixture list for next season and I am pleased with what has come out for Chelsea. Of course this year we have two additional competitions (European Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup) to take part in so we WILL need everyone in our squad to play their part if we are to be successful.
Looking at the Premier League, we have been handed a good start with a trip away to Wigan followed by Newcastle at home, Reading at home, QPR away, Stoke at home and then at the end of September an away trip to Arsenal.
At the end of October we have a trip to Spurs followed by a home game against United a week after. In November we have both Liverpool and City at home. On New Years Day we take on QPR at home and Arsenal at home on 19th Jan.
We take on City away at the end of February, Fulham away in the middle of March, Spurs at home in the middle of April followed by Liverpool away the week after and United away at the beginning of May.
It’s important that we make a good start and I am sure that by the time the season kicks off, Chelsea will become a force to reckon with in the Premier League once again. This will be the priority for Roberto Di Matteo and I believe we have done OK with the fixtures.
